The Goodman 10123533 Manual Reset Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control for the Goodman GKS90453BXAB gas furnace and compatible GKS90-series models. This normally-closed thermal switch opens the control circuit if it senses an over-temperature or flame-rollout condition, shutting down the burners to prevent overheating. Once tripped, it must be manually reset by pressing the button — a deliberate design that flags a fault (such as restricted airflow or a blocked flue) rather than allowing automatic restarts.
The genuine Goodman switch is factory-calibrated to the exact trip temperature specified for the GKS90 heat exchanger and burner assembly. Generic switches with a different set point can trip too early (nuisance lockouts) or too late (unsafe operation). For a life-safety component, always match the OEM part and rating.
Easy (1 of 5). Disconnect power, note and transfer the two spade wire connections, remove the mounting screws, and install the new switch in the same orientation. Typically a 10–15 minute repair. If the switch keeps tripping after replacement, diagnose the underlying airflow or venting cause before returning the furnace to service.
