The genuine Goodman 0130M00074 High Pressure Cut-Off Switch is an OEM refrigerant safety control engineered for DBC3007VDDCAA air conditioning systems. This switch monitors discharge-line pressure and opens the control circuit when refrigerant pressure climbs to an unsafe level, shutting down the compressor to prevent catastrophic damage from overcharge, a dirty condenser coil, or a failing condenser fan motor. When your unit trips on high pressure or short-cycles in hot weather, a failed or out-of-spec switch is a common root cause.
This is the factory OEM Goodman part, calibrated to the exact trip and reset pressures specified for your system. Generic aftermarket switches may carry a lower price but often cut off at incorrect pressure thresholds, leading to nuisance trips or, worse, failure to protect the compressor. For a refrigerant-side safety device, OEM calibration is strongly recommended.
