The Goodman 0130F00036 is a genuine OEM high-limit safety switch (identified by its pink color code) engineered for the GDH80403ANBA gas furnace. This limit switch continuously monitors heat-exchanger temperature and automatically interrupts the burner circuit if the furnace overheats, protecting the heat exchanger and blower assembly from thermal damage. If your furnace short-cycles, trips on high limit, or fails to fire, a worn or open limit switch is a common cause.
This is a factory OEM Goodman component built to the exact trip temperature and mounting footprint specified for your unit. Generic aftermarket limit switches may carry a lower price but often use a different trip point or bracket, which can cause nuisance trips or improper safety response. For a temperature-critical safety device, we recommend the OEM part to preserve the furnace's original protection profile.
Easy (1 of 3). Most DIYers can replace this switch in 10–15 minutes with a nut driver and a photo of the wiring. Always disconnect power at the breaker before servicing. If you are unsure why the original switch tripped, have a licensed HVAC technician inspect for restricted airflow or a cracked heat exchanger before returning the unit to service.
