The Goodman 20201901 Drain Hose Tube is a genuine OEM condensate drain component engineered for the AMVM960805CXBA high-efficiency modulating gas furnace. During normal operation a 96% AFUE furnace produces condensate at the secondary heat exchanger; this molded hose routes that moisture safely to the drain trap and away from internal electrical and gas components. A cracked, brittle, or disconnected drain tube is one of the most common causes of nuisance lockouts, pressure-switch faults, and water damage inside the burner compartment.
This is the factory OEM part with the exact bend geometry, wall thickness, and fitting diameters the furnace was designed around. Generic or universal drain tubing often requires trimming and adapters and can kink at tight radii, restricting flow and triggering pressure-switch trips.
