The Goodman B1376853 Motor Mount Arm is a genuine OEM bracket that supports the condenser fan motor inside the APH1448H41EC heat pump and related Goodman/Amana condensing units. This stamped-steel arm holds the fan motor in correct alignment over the condenser coil, keeping the fan blade centered in the orifice for quiet, vibration-free airflow. A bent, rusted, or missing mount arm causes blade rub, motor bearing wear, and rattling noise.
Because this is a mechanical support with model-specific bolt spacing and arm length, the OEM part is strongly preferred. Generic universal arms rarely match the factory hole pattern and can leave the fan blade off-center, degrading airflow and shortening motor life. At this price point there's little reason not to use the exact Goodman bracket.
Difficulty: Easy (DIY-Friendly). With power disconnected at the breaker, remove the fan grille, unbolt the old arm, transfer the motor, and reinstall. Basic hand tools and about 20–30 minutes are all that's needed. No refrigerant work and no electrical splicing are involved — verify the fan blade spins freely and is centered before restoring power.
