The genuine Goodman 0161F00046 Condensate Drain Trap is the factory P-trap assembly for the Goodman/Amana ACVC960403BNBA 96% AFUE condensing gas furnace. High-efficiency furnaces extract so much heat that flue gases condense into acidic water, which must drain away through this trap. The water seal in the trap also blocks combustion gases from venting backward through the drain line.
