The Goodman 10254303 Rubber Coupling is a genuine OEM sealing component used on the GKS90905DXAE high-efficiency gas furnace. This flexible coupling joins condensate drain, inducer, or vent connections and forms a tight, vibration-tolerant seal that prevents water leaks and combustion-air bypass. Over time, factory couplings harden, crack, or take a set — leading to nuisance drips, condensate overflow codes, or pressure-switch faults. Replacing it restores a clean, leak-free connection.
OEM vs. Generic: The OEM coupling is molded to the precise inner diameter and durometer your furnace's ports require, so it seats fully without clamps slipping or the rubber ballooning under condensate pressure. Generic hardware-store couplings are rarely sized correctly and can leak or degrade quickly in the acidic condensate environment of a condensing furnace.
Install difficulty: Very Easy (1/5). Power down the furnace, loosen the hose clamps, slide off the old coupling, and press the new one into place before re-tightening the clamps. No tools beyond a nut driver are needed and the job takes about 5 minutes. Verify a leak-free seal by running the furnace through a heat cycle and checking the joint for moisture.
