The Goodman B1370820 Blower Door Safety Switch is an interlock that cuts power to the furnace whenever the blower access panel is removed, preventing operation with the door open. This assembly ships pre-wired with lead wires and is a direct-fit replacement for the Goodman GSU100-4.
Because this part arrives with the correct wire leads and connector already attached, the genuine Goodman version drops in without splicing or crimping guesswork. Generic door switches often require you to reuse or fabricate wiring; the OEM assembly saves time and guarantees the plunger geometry lines up with the GSU100-4 panel bracket.
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. Disconnect power first. Unclip the old switch from the blower-compartment bracket, connect the new switch's leads to the matching furnace wiring, and snap it into place so the door depresses the plunger fully when closed. Confirm the furnace only energizes with the panel installed. Do not tape or bypass this interlock.
