The Goodman 0130F00038 Auxiliary Limit Switch — identified by its light-blue cap — is a genuine OEM thermal safety cutout for the Goodman DMP075-32AA gas furnace and compatible models. This normally-closed switch monitors temperature at a secondary location such as the blower or burner box and opens the control circuit if it senses an overheat condition, shutting the furnace down before damage occurs. A tripped or failed auxiliary limit is a common cause of no-heat calls and intermittent shutdowns.
The color code on the OEM Goodman switch corresponds to a specific trip temperature — the light-blue rating must match the original. A generic limit switch with the wrong setpoint can either nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect the furnace. Because this is a safety device, we strongly recommend the exact OEM part.
Easy (1/5). Two mounting screws and two push-on terminals. Cut power at the disconnect before servicing, match the light-blue temperature rating exactly, and never bypass a limit switch. If the switch keeps tripping, diagnose the underlying airflow or overheat cause.
