The Goodman 0130F00038 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control engineered for the Amana/Goodman AMVC801005CXAA two-stage variable-speed gas furnace. This light-blue thermal switch monitors heat-exchanger and burner-box temperatures, interrupting the gas valve and ignition circuit if the furnace overheats. When your furnace short-cycles, locks out on limit, or fails to fire, a failed auxiliary limit is a common culprit.
This is a factory OEM Goodman part with the exact trip temperature and mounting footprint specified by the manufacturer — no guessing on set-points. Aftermarket generics may carry a lower price but often differ in trip temperature or terminal orientation, which can cause nuisance trips or fitment issues. For a safety-critical limit control, OEM is the recommended choice.
Easy (1/5). Two-wire, single-screw or bracket mount. Cut power at the breaker, disconnect the two spade terminals, unscrew the old switch, and reverse. Most homeowners complete this in under 15 minutes with a nut driver.
Always disconnect power before servicing. If in doubt, contact a licensed HVAC technician.
