The Goodman 0130F00038 auxiliary limit switch is a genuine OEM high-limit safety control designed for the AMH80903BXCC 80% AFUE gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana models. This light-blue-coded switch monitors heat-exchanger and cabinet temperatures, opening the burner circuit if the furnace overheats due to restricted airflow, a failed blower, or a dirty filter. Replacing a nuisance-tripping or failed limit is the fastest way to restore safe, reliable heating.
This is the factory OEM part, calibrated to the exact trip temperature your furnace was engineered for. Generic aftermarket limits often use approximate set points that trip early (short-cycling) or late (unsafe). For a safety control, we recommend OEM to preserve the manufacturer's certified operating envelope and your warranty coverage.
Easy (2/5). A DIY-friendly repair for handy owners: shut off power and gas, remove two mounting screws, transfer the wire connectors, and reinstall. Basic hand tools only. If you are unsure why the limit tripped, have a technician confirm airflow before replacing.
