The Goodman 10716003 Natural Gas Orifice is a genuine OEM burner orifice (spud) for the Amana/Goodman AMVC951155DXBA gas furnace. The orifice meters the exact volume of natural gas delivered into each burner, setting the input rate and ensuring a clean, blue, correctly-sized flame. A worn, corroded, or wrong-size orifice causes poor combustion, sooting, delayed ignition, or an out-of-spec input rate. Using the factory-drilled orifice keeps the furnace firing at its rated BTU input for safe, efficient heating.
