The Goodman B1370154 Rollout Limit Switch is a genuine OEM flame-rollout safety control rated to 350°F, built for GMPH120-5 gas furnaces and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Mounted on the burner assembly, it senses abnormal flame rollout or a blocked heat exchanger and shuts off the gas valve to prevent overheating. If your furnace locks out on a safety fault or won't fire, a tripped or failed rollout switch is a common cause.
The OEM switch is calibrated to the exact 350°F trip point Goodman engineered for this burner design — critical for a life-safety component. Generic substitutes may carry a different trip temperature or terminal style, risking nuisance trips or, worse, a delayed cutoff. For any safety switch, always choose OEM.
Difficulty: Easy. Two screws and a pair of push-on spade terminals — typically 10–15 minutes. Shut off gas and power first. If the switch keeps tripping after replacement, have a technician inspect the heat exchanger and venting, as a rollout trip often signals a deeper combustion problem.
