The Goodman B1370154 Flame Rollout Limit Switch is a safety-critical control that protects your furnace against dangerous heat rollout at the burner assembly. Engineered as a direct-fit replacement for the Goodman GSU100-4 gas furnace, this manual-reset switch opens the ignition circuit if flames roll out of the burner box, shutting the unit down before damage or a fire hazard can occur.
This is a genuine Goodman OEM switch calibrated to the exact 350°F trip point specified for the GSU100-4. Generic universal rollout switches are cheaper, but trip tolerances and terminal orientation vary — on a device that directly controls burner shutdown, the OEM part removes the guesswork. We recommend OEM for any rollout or high-limit circuit.
Difficulty: Easy (DIY-friendly). The switch mounts with two screws to the burner bracket and uses two push-on spade terminals. Always shut off gas and power before servicing. A repeatedly tripping rollout switch signals a combustion problem (blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or dirty burners) — diagnose the root cause, do not simply reset or bypass it.
