The Goodman B1370154 Flame Rollout Switch is a genuine OEM safety limit built for the Goodman GDT070-3A gas furnace and matching platform models. Mounted at the burner assembly, this manual-reset switch senses flame that has 'rolled out' of the burner box — typically caused by a blocked heat exchanger, restricted flue, or cracked exchanger — and immediately interrupts the gas valve circuit at its 350°F trip point to prevent fire and carbon-monoxide hazards.
Because a rollout switch is a life-safety device, the OEM Goodman B1370154 is the strongly preferred choice — it matches Goodman's exact 350°F calibration, bracket, and terminal layout. Generic rollout switches vary in trip point and reset style; if you choose one, verify the temperature rating stamped on the disc matches 350°F. When a rollout switch has tripped, always diagnose and correct the root cause (dirty exchanger, blocked flue) before resetting or replacing.
Easy (2 of 5). Shut off gas and power, photograph the wiring, unplug the two terminals, remove the mounting screws from the burner bracket, and install the replacement in the same orientation. Press the reset button, restore power and gas, and confirm normal burner operation. Roughly 15–20 minutes.
