The Goodman B1370154 Flame Rollout Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control designed for the GMPV100-5 gas furnace. This normally-closed, manual-reset switch monitors the burner area and trips at 350°F if flames roll out of the combustion chamber, cutting power to the gas valve to prevent overheating, heat exchanger damage, and unsafe operation. If your furnace locks out on ignition or the burners shut down shortly after firing, a tripped or failed rollout switch is a common cause.
This is a factory Goodman part built to exact trip-temperature tolerance. Generic replacements may drop in physically but can trip early (nuisance lockouts) or late (a genuine safety risk). For a life-safety limit control, we recommend the OEM part.
A basic 10–15 minute repair for a handy homeowner or technician. Shut off power and gas, note the two wire positions, unclip the switch, and mount the replacement. Always verify with a multimeter that a tripped switch isn't masking a deeper heat-exchanger or venting issue before reset.
