The Goodman B1370145 is a genuine OEM 300°F flame rollout switch designed for the GMNTE060-3 gas furnace. This manual-reset safety limit monitors the burner area for abnormal heat caused by flame rollout — a dangerous condition where flames escape the burner box due to a blocked heat exchanger, poor combustion, or restricted flue.
When temperatures reach the 300°F trip point, the switch opens and shuts off the gas valve to prevent unsafe operation. A tripped or failed rollout switch will prevent the furnace from firing, which is exactly its job — but a defective switch that trips without cause must be replaced (and the root cause investigated) to restore heat.
OEM rollout switches carry the exact factory trip temperature and mounting footprint, ensuring reliable safety response. Because this is a life-safety limit that controls the gas valve, using the correct OEM-rated 300°F switch is strongly recommended over generic substitutes.
Easy. Unplug the two spade terminals, unscrew the switch, and mount the replacement once power and gas are off. However, a repeatedly tripping switch signals an underlying combustion problem — have a licensed HVAC technician diagnose the cause.
