The genuine Goodman B1370145 is a 300°F manual-reset flame rollout limit switch — a critical safety control on your GMT090-4B furnace. Mounted near the burner assembly, it opens the ignition circuit and shuts down the furnace if flames roll out of the burner box due to a blocked heat exchanger, cracked exchanger, or poor venting. If your furnace locks out on a rollout fault, this inexpensive part is often the fix — but always investigate why it tripped before resetting or replacing.
Because this is a life-safety component, the exact OEM trip temperature and terminal configuration matter. Genuine Goodman ensures the switch opens at the engineered 300°F setpoint. Generic switches with a different rating can nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect against a genuine rollout condition. Never substitute a lower- or higher-rated part.
Easy — A single-bracket, two-terminal spade connection. Roughly 10–15 minutes. Important: A tripped rollout switch indicates an underlying combustion or venting problem — diagnose the root cause before returning the furnace to service.
