The genuine Goodman B1370145 is the OEM 300°F flame rollout limit switch for the GMV81155CXA furnace and many other Goodman/Amana models. This safety device sits near the burner assembly and trips if flames roll out of the burner box — shutting off the gas valve to prevent overheating and fire. If it opens, the furnace locks out and won't fire, protecting the equipment and the home.
Safety limits must trip at the exact rated temperature. The OEM B1370145 is calibrated to Goodman's 300°F spec with the correct terminal and bracket. Substituting a mismatched-temperature or off-brand switch can defeat a critical safety function — never guess on a rollout switch. Always use the correct OEM part.
Easy (2/5). De-energize the furnace, note wire positions, remove two mounting screws, transfer the spade terminals, and remount. About 10 minutes. If a rollout switch has tripped, always diagnose the root cause (cracked heat exchanger, blocked flue, dirty burners) before returning the unit to service.
