The Goodman B1370145 Rollout Limit Switch is the OEM 300°F flame-rollout safety control for the GMT090-5A gas furnace. Mounted on the burner box, this manual-reset switch opens the circuit and shuts off the gas valve if flame rolls out of the heat exchanger — a critical safety response to a blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or restricted combustion air.
The OEM Goodman switch is calibrated to the exact 300°F trip point and matches the original bracket and terminal orientation. Because this is a life-safety device, an incorrectly rated generic switch can either nuisance-trip or fail to protect against rollout. Always replace with the OEM-specified temperature rating.
Easy — but diagnose the root cause first. A tripped rollout switch usually indicates an underlying problem (blocked flue or cracked heat exchanger). Have a technician inspect combustion before simply resetting or replacing. Physical swap is a two-wire, one-screw job.
