The Goodman B1370145 is a genuine OEM flame-rollout limit switch rated to open at 300°F, used on the GMT070-3 gas furnace. This is a critical safety control: it senses flame rollout at the burner box and shuts off the gas valve if flames escape the heat exchanger — protecting the cabinet and your home from overheating. A tripped or failed rollout switch will lock the furnace out of heating (no burner ignition). Never bypass this device.
Because this is a life-safety component, the OEM B1370145 is strongly recommended — its trip temperature, reset behavior, and terminal placement match Goodman's design exactly. Generic switches with a different trip point or reset type can nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect. For a safety control, match the factory part precisely.
Easy — Two spade terminals and one or two mounting screws. Typically a 10–15 minute repair. Shut off gas and power before servicing. Important: if a rollout switch has tripped, find and correct the root cause (blocked heat exchanger, cracked exchanger, or poor venting) before returning the furnace to service.
