The B1370145 is a genuine Goodman flame rollout limit switch with a 300°F trip point that shuts off the gas valve if flame rolls out of the burner box. It is a direct-fit replacement for the AMS81405DXA gas furnace and is used across many Goodman and Amana furnaces. This is a critical safety device — a tripped or failed rollout switch signals a blocked heat exchanger, cracked exchanger, or restricted flue that must be diagnosed before returning the furnace to service.
OEM rollout switches are calibrated to the exact 300°F setpoint and terminal spacing the furnace's safety circuit expects. Generic switches with loose tolerances can trip early (nuisance lockouts) or trip late (a real safety hazard). For any flame-safety component, OEM is strongly recommended.
Easy (1 of 5). Turn off gas and power, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and install the new switch in the same orientation. Important: if the old switch was tripped, find and correct the root cause (dirty burners, blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger) before restarting.
