The Goodman B1370145 Flame Rollout Limit Switch is a genuine OEM 300°F manual-reset safety control for the AMS80904BNAA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Mounted near the burner box, it trips and shuts off the gas valve if flames roll out of the combustion chamber — typically caused by a blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or poor draft. Replacing a tripped or failed rollout switch is essential to safe furnace operation.
The OEM Goodman B1370145 is calibrated to the exact 300°F trip point the furnace's safety design depends on. Generic switches may carry a similar temperature rating but can drift out of spec, causing nuisance trips or — far worse — failing to open when needed. On a life-safety combustion control, install OEM only.
Difficulty: Easy. Two spade terminals and one or two mounting screws — about 10–15 minutes. Always shut off gas and disconnect electrical power before servicing. Because a tripped rollout switch signals an underlying combustion fault, have the root cause (flue blockage or heat exchanger) inspected before returning the furnace to service.
