The B1370145 is a genuine OEM manual-reset flame rollout limit switch engineered for the Goodman/Amana AMH80903BNAA gas furnace. This safety-critical control monitors the burner compartment for flame rollout — a dangerous condition where flame escapes the heat exchanger — and instantly opens the gas circuit to shut the furnace down before damage or hazard occurs. If your furnace ignites then trips off on a lockout, or the burner box shows scorching, a failed rollout switch is a common cause.
This is the genuine OEM Goodman part, calibrated to the exact 300°F trip point specified for your furnace. Universal aftermarket rollout switches often carry different trip temperatures or bracket geometry that can cause nuisance lockouts or, worse, fail to protect properly. For a safety device, we strongly recommend OEM. Generic equivalents may save a dollar but risk improper protection of a life-safety circuit.
Rated Easy (1/5). Shut off power and gas, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, swap in the new switch, and reconnect. Typically a 10-minute job with a nut driver. Always test furnace operation after replacement.
Safety note: Repeated rollout trips indicate an underlying problem (cracked heat exchanger, blocked flue, or dirty burners). Diagnose the root cause before returning the furnace to service.
