The Goodman B1370108 Flame Rollout Switch is a genuine OEM safety limit control rated at 300°F for the GUI100-4 gas furnace and compatible Goodman and Amana models. This manual-reset switch monitors the burner area and instantly cuts power to the gas valve if flames roll out of the combustion chamber — a critical safety response to a blocked heat exchanger, cracked flue, or restricted venting. A tripped or failed rollout switch will prevent the furnace from firing until the underlying cause is corrected and the switch is reset or replaced.
Because this is a safety-critical component, we strongly recommend the genuine Goodman OEM switch. It is calibrated to trip at the exact 300°F set point your furnace was engineered for. Generic switches can vary in trip temperature and reset behavior, which can either nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect against a genuine rollout condition.
Easy — Typically a two-wire, two-screw replacement on the burner bracket. Shut off power and gas before servicing. Important: a repeatedly tripping rollout switch signals a serious combustion problem — have a licensed technician diagnose the cause before returning the furnace to service.
