The B1370108 is a genuine OEM manual-reset flame rollout switch rated to trip at 300°F, used on the Goodman GUI100-2 gas furnace. Mounted on the burner assembly, it is a critical safety limit: if flames roll out of the burner box due to a blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or restricted combustion air, the switch opens and shuts down the gas valve to prevent overheating and fire. When it trips, it must be manually reset — repeat trips indicate an underlying combustion problem that should be diagnosed.
Because this is a life-safety device, the exact trip point and bracket geometry matter. The OEM B1370108 is calibrated to Goodman's certified 300°F setpoint and mounts flush against the burner assembly for accurate sensing. Generic switches may carry a different setpoint or loose fit that delays trip response — not worth the risk on a safety control.
Easy. Disconnect power and gas, unplug the two spade terminals, remove one or two screws, and swap. About 10–15 minutes. If the new switch trips again, stop and inspect the heat exchanger and venting.
