The Goodman 1370913S is a genuine OEM primary high-limit safety switch built for GMN060-3 gas furnaces. Mounted on the heat exchanger plenum, it senses supply-air temperature and cuts power to the gas valve if the furnace overheats — protecting the heat exchanger, blower, and your home from unsafe operation. A failed limit switch is one of the most common causes of a furnace that short-cycles, trips on high limit, or shuts down mid-cycle. Replacing it restores safe, reliable heating.
Our OEM option is the exact Goodman-spec switch with the correct trip point and insertion depth — the safest, drop-in choice. A generic equivalent can save a few dollars, but limit switches are a safety device: an incorrect trip temperature can allow overheating or cause nuisance shutdowns. For a life-safety component we strongly recommend OEM.
Easy (2/5). A two-wire swap and two mounting screws — typically 15–20 minutes. Always disconnect power at the furnace switch or breaker before servicing. If you're unsure why the original tripped, have a licensed HVAC technician confirm airflow and heat-exchanger condition before replacing.
