The Goodman B1370198 is a factory-original primary high-limit switch engineered for the DMS81405DNA gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana models. This safety control continuously monitors heat-exchanger and plenum temperature, opening the burner circuit if the furnace overheats due to restricted airflow, a dirty filter, or blower failure — protecting the heat exchanger and preventing hazardous operation.
This is a genuine Goodman OEM switch calibrated to the exact 150°F trip point specified for your furnace. Generic snap-discs may carry a similar rating but often use looser tolerances, which can cause nuisance trips or fail to protect at the correct threshold. Choosing OEM keeps your furnace within manufacturer safety specs and protects your warranty.
Easy (1/5). Turn off power and gas, disconnect the two spade terminals, remove two mounting screws, and swap in the new switch. Most homeowners complete this in under 15 minutes. If your limit is tripping repeatedly, also inspect the filter, blower, and ductwork for airflow restrictions before returning the unit to service.
