The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM overheat-protection control for the Goodman/Amana AMS80703ANAA gas furnace. Mounted on the blower housing, this auxiliary limit opens at 120°F to cut off burner operation if heat backs up into the blower compartment — protecting the motor, wiring, and heat exchanger when airflow is restricted by a dirty filter or failing blower.
The OEM Goodman auxiliary limit is matched to the furnace's exact trip point and mounting location. Generic substitutes often carry different temperature ratings that can cause nuisance shutdowns or, worse, fail to protect at the correct threshold. For proper safety-circuit behavior, choose OEM.
Easy (1/5). Cut power at the disconnect, pull the two wire terminals, remove the mounting screws, and install the replacement in the same position. About 10–15 minutes. If the switch is tripping repeatedly, inspect airflow and blower operation before assuming the part has failed.
