The Goodman B1370155 is a factory-specified auxiliary limit switch engineered for the GDT070-3A gas furnace. This thermal safety device continuously monitors secondary heat-exchanger and blower-compartment temperatures, opening the control circuit to shut down the burners if temperatures climb past its 120°F trip point. It is a critical overheat-protection component — a failed or out-of-spec limit switch can cause short-cycling, no-heat calls, or an unsafe operating condition.
This is a genuine OEM Goodman switch calibrated to the exact 120°F set point your furnace's control logic expects. Generic aftermarket limits are often available at a lower price but may use loose temperature tolerances that trip early (nuisance shutdowns) or late (reduced protection). For a safety-critical component, we recommend the OEM part to guarantee proper furnace sequencing.
Rating: Easy (1/5). Replacement is a two-wire swap — disconnect power at the breaker, unplug the spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, install the new switch in the same orientation, and reconnect. Most DIYers complete this in 10–15 minutes. Always cut power before servicing and verify safe operation after replacement. If you are unsure why the original limit tripped, have a licensed HVAC technician inspect the heat exchanger and airflow.
