The Goodman B1370113 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM overheat-protection component engineered for the Goodman GDT070-3A gas furnace and compatible models in the same platform. This normally-closed thermal switch monitors cabinet and blower-compartment temperatures and opens the control circuit at its rated 120°F trip point, shutting down the burners before a heat-exchanger or airflow fault can damage the appliance. It is a required safety device — a failed or missing auxiliary limit is one of the most common causes of nuisance lockouts and no-heat calls.
The OEM Goodman B1370113 is calibrated to Goodman's exact 120°F specification and mounting geometry, guaranteeing a plug-and-play fit and correct trip behavior. A quality universal-replacement limit switch can save a few dollars, but you must verify trip temperature and terminal orientation yourself. For safety-critical limit controls we recommend the OEM part.
Easy (1 of 5). Power off the furnace at the disconnect, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and reverse for the new switch. Most homeowners complete the swap in under 15 minutes with a nut driver. Always confirm continuity at room temperature before reassembly.
