The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety component engineered for GDS81155CNA gas furnaces. This normally-closed thermal switch opens at 120°F to interrupt the ignition or blower circuit when it senses abnormal heat, protecting the heat exchanger and surrounding cabinet from overheating. If your furnace short-cycles, locks out, or trips on a limit fault, a failed auxiliary limit is a common and inexpensive culprit.
Our Genuine Goodman OEM switch is calibrated to the exact factory trip point, guaranteeing correct sensing and safe operation. Aftermarket generics may vary in open temperature or bracket geometry, risking nuisance trips or failure to protect the unit. For a safety device, we recommend OEM.
Easy – DIY friendly (★☆☆☆☆). Cut furnace power, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and swap in the new switch. Typically a 10–15 minute repair with a nut driver. If you are unsure, consult a licensed HVAC technician.
