The B1370113 is a genuine OEM 120°F auxiliary limit switch built as a direct-fit replacement for the Goodman GDS80453ANA gas furnace. This normally-closed thermal safety control monitors temperature at the blower or secondary heat area and opens the circuit if the furnace exceeds its safe operating limit, shutting down the burners to prevent overheating and component damage. A tripped or failed auxiliary limit is a common cause of a furnace that lights briefly then shuts off, or that will not restart after an overheat event.
The OEM Goodman switch is calibrated to the exact factory trip temperature, which matters for a safety device — an incorrectly rated limit can nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect the furnace. Generic universal limits exist, but for a safety control we strongly recommend the OEM part rated to the correct 120°F set point.
Easy (2/5). Remove power, unclip or unscrew the old switch from its bracket, transfer the two spade connectors, and remount. No wiring changes or calibration required. A basic multimeter helps confirm the old switch has failed open before replacing.
