The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM temperature-limit safety control rated at 120°F, used on Goodman AMS81405DNA gas furnaces and compatible models. Typically mounted near the blower or secondary heat-exchanger area, it monitors for abnormal temperature rise from restricted airflow — a dirty filter, blocked return, or failing blower — and interrupts the heating circuit to protect the furnace from overheating.
This genuine Goodman OEM limit switch is matched to the furnace's exact 120°F setpoint and mounting footprint, so it protects at the temperature the engineers intended. Generic substitutes with the wrong trip point cause short-cycling or fail to trip when needed. As a safety device, OEM is strongly recommended.
Easy–Moderate (2/5). Disconnect power, photograph and remove the wiring, unscrew the switch from its mounting location, install the new B1370155, and reconnect. Roughly 15 minutes. If the switch had tripped, check the filter and blower for airflow restrictions before restarting.
