The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control designed for the Goodman/Amana AMH80453AXAA gas furnace. This normally-closed thermal switch opens at approximately 120°F to protect the blower compartment and heat exchanger from overheating, shutting the furnace down before unsafe temperatures are reached. A failed auxiliary limit is a common cause of a furnace that short-cycles, throws a limit fault code, or won't fire at all.
This is a factory OEM part built to Goodman's exact trip-point tolerance. Aftermarket switches often trip at slightly different temperatures, which can cause nuisance shutdowns or fail to protect the heat exchanger. For a safety-critical limit control, the genuine OEM part is the recommended choice.
Easy (1/5). Two-wire replacement secured by a screw or clip. Cut power at the breaker, note the wiring, swap the switch, and restore power. Typically a 10-minute job with a nut driver. Always confirm the source of overheating before replacing a tripped safety limit.
