The B1370155 is a genuine Goodman/Amana auxiliary high-limit switch engineered as a direct-fit replacement for the AMH80453ANAA gas furnace. This normally-closed thermal safety control opens the ignition circuit if it senses excessive heat near the blower compartment, shutting the burners down before damage or a hazard can occur. A failed or nuisance-tripping auxiliary limit is a common cause of a furnace that starts, runs briefly, then stops on a safety lockout.
Our OEM option is the exact Goodman-specified switch with a factory-calibrated 120°F trip point and matching terminal geometry for a plug-and-play install. A Generic equivalent meets the same electrical rating at a lower price point but may require minor bracket adjustment. For a safety-critical limit control we recommend OEM to guarantee the correct calibration.
Rated Easy (1 of 5). Shut off power and gas, disconnect the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and swap in the new switch — typically a 10–15 minute job for a homeowner comfortable working inside the furnace cabinet. Always confirm power is off at the breaker before servicing.
