The genuine OEM Goodman A1781105 1-Piece Vinyl Cap is the factory sealing cap used to close off unused ports, drain openings, and knockouts on the Amana/Goodman AMSS960805CNAA gas furnace. These small vinyl caps keep dust, debris, and air drafts out of unused fittings and help maintain the correct internal pressure balance the furnace's controls depend on. A missing cap can allow air infiltration that upsets pressure-switch readings or lets contaminants into an open port.
