The Goodman 0131M00847S is a 1/4 HP condenser fan motor built as a genuine OEM replacement for the Goodman CPC036XXX1DXJXBA air conditioner and other CPC036-series condensers. This motor spins the outdoor fan blade that pulls air across the condenser coil to reject heat from the refrigerant. A failing condenser motor causes high head pressure, warm air at the registers, compressor overheating, and eventual safety lockouts. A fresh OEM motor restores proper airflow and protects the compressor — the most expensive component in the system.
The genuine Goodman motor matches the original HP, RPM, rotation, shaft diameter, mounting stud pattern, and capacitor requirement exactly. Universal motors can be made to fit but often require adapter brackets, a different capacitor, and re-clocking of the wiring — and a mismatched RPM or rotation will move the wrong amount of air.
