This OEM 24-volt control transformer (part #34329055) supplies low-voltage power to the control circuit of your ICP YE024G heat pump system. It steps line voltage down to the 24V needed to operate the contactor coil, defrost board, thermostat, and reversing valve solenoid. When a transformer fails — usually from a shorted control wire, a stuck contactor, or simple age — the entire low-voltage circuit goes dead: the unit won't energize, the thermostat screen may go blank, and neither heating nor cooling will start. A buzzing, overheating, or visibly scorched transformer is a clear sign of failure.
