Overview

This OEM 24-volt control transformer (part #34329055) provides low-voltage power to the control circuit of your ICP YE018G heat pump. It steps line voltage down to the 24V required by the contactor coil, defrost board, thermostat, and reversing valve solenoid. A transformer typically fails from a shorted control wire, a stuck contactor drawing excess current, or age. When it goes, the whole low-voltage side dies — the unit won't energize, the thermostat may go blank, and the system won't heat or cool. Buzzing, overheating, or scorching are telltale signs.
