- Safety First — Disconnect power at the breaker and verify zero voltage with a multimeter before touching any wiring.
- Access — Remove the unit's electrical control panel cover.
- Document — Photograph all primary and secondary wire connections before disconnecting anything.
- Remove — Disconnect the line-voltage primary leads and the 24V secondary leads, then unbolt the failed transformer and barrier from the panel.
- Install — Mount the new transformer and barrier, then reconnect the primary to the correct 208 or 230 tap and the secondary per your photo.
- Test — Restore power and verify 24V across the secondary terminals and a normal call for cooling.
