This OEM control transformer (part 1172028) converts the 208/230V line voltage feeding your ICP WAHT244A2 air handler down to the 24V control voltage required by the thermostat, relays, and control board. A failed transformer typically presents as a dead thermostat, an unresponsive air handler, a repeatedly blown control fuse, or a buzzing coil with a burnt smell. Installation Guide

4. Remove — Label and disconnect the line-voltage primary leads and 24V secondary leads, then unbolt the failed transformer.
5. Install — Mount the new transformer, match the 208/230V tap to your incoming line voltage, and reconnect the secondary leads per your photo.
6. Test — Restore power and confirm 24V at the secondary terminals and normal thermostat operation.
