The capacitor (OEM part 1176150) is a 7.5 MFD, 370-volt oval single-run unit that provides the steady phase shift the blower motor needs to run efficiently. The kit also covers the capacitor mounting plate (1183001) and oval clamp (1171552) so the part seats securely. When a run capacitor weakens, the blower motor draws excess amperage, runs hot, hums, or fails to reach full speed — leading to poor airflow and eventual motor burnout.
