The capacitor (OEM part 1176150) is a 7.5 MFD, 370-volt oval single-run unit that supplies the steady phase shift the blower motor needs to run efficiently. The kit also includes the capacitor mounting plate (1183001) and oval clamp (1171552) for a secure fit. As a run capacitor weakens, the blower draws excess amperage, runs hot, hums, or never reaches full speed — causing weak airflow and premature motor failure. Replacing a tired capacitor is the cheapest insurance for an expensive blower motor.
