Overview
This OEM tubing pressure switch is the safety device that proves proper draft before your ICP / Tempstar / Heil WPG3604090LKC1 packaged gas unit is allowed to ignite. When the inducer motor starts, it creates a negative pressure that the switch senses through its connected tubing; only when adequate draft is confirmed does the switch close and permit the control board to energize the igniter and gas valve. This prevents the furnace from firing with a blocked vent or failed inducer. A stuck, drifted, or clogged pressure switch — or one with cracked/blocked tubing — will keep the contacts open and lock the furnace out of heating. This part replaces OEM 1178417 (Tubing Pressure Switch).

- Install — Mount the new switch, reconnect the tubing securely, and reattach the wires per your photo.
- Test — Restore power, call for heat, and confirm the switch closes after the inducer starts and the furnace ignites normally.
