This genuine OEM spark igniter (part #1184216) ignites the burner gas in your ICP, Tempstar, and Heil RGS180SRAA0AAAA gas furnace. On each heat call, the ignition control sends 24V to the igniter, which generates a high-voltage spark at the burner to light the gas. A worn or cracked igniter is a leading cause of intermittent or failed ignition. Because the igniter sits directly in the harsh, high-temperature burner environment, the electrode and ceramic insulator degrade over time.
