This OEM hot surface igniter kit is the factory ignition source for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil RGS150SEAA0AAAA gas furnace. The igniter (OEM 1171306) is a silicon-carbide hot surface element that glows red-hot when energized by the 120V ignition circuit, lighting the burners on each call for heat. The included wiring kit (OEM 1188370) supplies the matched pigtail harness and connector so the igniter mates cleanly to the control board without splicing. Installation Guide
- Safety First — Disconnect power at the furnace switch and breaker, and close the gas shutoff. Verify zero voltage with a multimeter.
- Access — Remove the blower/burner service panel.
- Document — Photograph the igniter bracket and wire routing before disconnecting.
- Remove — Unplug the igniter harness at the control board, remove the igniter mounting screw, and lift the old element out — handle only by the ceramic base, never the element.
- Install — Seat the new igniter in the burner assembly, secure the screw, and connect the new wiring kit to the board per your photo.
- Test — Restore gas and power, call for heat, and confirm the igniter glows and the burners light within the normal ignition sequence.
