Overview

This OEM hot surface igniter (part 1171306) with matching wiring kit (part 1188370) is the factory ignition component for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil RGS120STAB0AAA gas furnace. On every heat call the control board sends line voltage to the igniter, which glows white-hot to ignite the gas at the burners. Because the element is brittle and cycles thousands of times per season, the igniter is the single most common furnace no-heat failure. The included wiring kit ensures a clean, properly terminated connection so you replace the harness and element together rather than reusing a brittle, heat-fatigued plug.
