Overview

This genuine OEM hot surface igniter (part number 1171306) and matching wiring kit (part number 1188370) ignite the gas burners on the ICP/Tempstar/Heil RGS102HRBB0AAA furnace. On each heat call, the control board sends voltage to the igniter, which glows white-hot to light the burner gas. The silicon-nitride/silicon-carbide element is brittle and degrades with thermal cycling, eventually cracking or losing the ability to reach ignition temperature.
