This is the OEM hot surface igniter (part 1171306) with matching igniter wiring kit (part 1188370) for the ICP / Tempstar / Heil model RGS101HECA0AAA gas furnace. The hot surface igniter glows red-hot when energized by the control board, lighting the burners at the start of each heat cycle. The igniter element is brittle and degrades over time from thermal cycling and contamination; a cracked or worn igniter is the single most common cause of no-heat furnace calls. The included wiring kit replaces the brittle factory leads and connector, ensuring a clean electrical path to the igniter. Replacing both together restores fast, reliable ignition.
